Thomas J. Wuori

Tom has been practicing safety law for over 34 years, handling cases throughout the State of Michigan to major cases in North Carolina, Colorado, Indiana, Arizona,  Massachusetts, and Illinois. He has been awarded the highest ratings for legal skill and ethics from various groups, including AV-rated Martindale Hubble, National Trial Lawyers Top 100, Michigan Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers(R) in America, and the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

Many of the cases Tom has litigated around the country have been because of safety rule violations that seriously harmed or killed people and posed continuing threats of harm to the community. There were system failures that caused foreseeable and preventable injuries. Litigation often times is the only way to protect the community and prevent these foreseeable harms.

Many of the cases resulted in changes to products, changes to safety procedures and protocols, and juries or the defense saw the significant harm that was done—leading to significant determinations of fault and valuations: $14.1 million dollar verdict for a propane explosion; $5.6 million dollar regarding a gas leak; $6.6 million dollar resolution regarding reckless use of flammable gas; $2.1 million dollar (wrongful conviction); and many other significant resolutions and verdicts involving trucking and car crashes around the country.

Tom’s passion as a safety lawyer, and in helping people and families recover through tragic times, and holding those responsible accountable, are the fundamental foundation for the creation of the law firm.
