Kate is the newest member of the RingsmuthWuori team, just relocating to Traverse City from Denver, CO. Kate attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and Justice. While completing her undergraduate degree, she was very involved in the local Milwaukee Community and dedicated to several volunteer groups, one of which helped women and children in Domestic Violence situations. After graduation, Kate worked for three law firms in the greater Milwaukee and Denver areas, gaining experience in all aspects of personal injury litigation. Kate has already become very active in the Traverse City community and looks forward to building many personal connections with members of the community over the next several years.
Heather is a native to Northern Michigan and returns from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology while also earning her Paralegal Certificate. While completing her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to work with the Walworth County District Attorney’s Office in Elkhorn, WI where she got the experience of working with many types of cases including being part of a team that worked on a high profile, 12 year murder trial.
After graduation, Heather worked for the State Public Defender Milwaukee Appellate Division before returning to Northern Michigan. Heather has worked for both large firms and small firms and has experience with multi-defendant toxic exposure cases, auto accidents, wrongful death, and a variety of other cases. Heather dedicates herself to serving our clients and providing a personal connection during difficult times to make a difference in people’s lives. In addition to her contributions to the firm, Heather is active in the community as the Assistant Coach to the Traverse City St. Francis Varsity girls Bowling team, and is also a Director on the Traverse City Women’s Bowling Association.
Heather is an ardent supporter of the mission of RingsmuthWuori PLLC including pro-bono work, injury prevention, civil and constitutional rights, and the representation of those less fortunate. She believes in assisting those who otherwise do not have a legal or economic voice in order to correct injustices.
